The Sisterhood Book Club will gather to watch the film adaptation of our last book selection, Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer. The 2005 film adaptation was written and directed by Liev Schreiber ("A Small Light", "Defiance"). It stars Elijah Wood ("Lord of the Rings", "9") and Eugene Hütz ("Filth" and "Wisdom"). The film also features Boris Leskin ("The Falcon" and "The Snowman", "Men in Black"), a real-life Jewish veteran whose refugee parents were murdered by the Nazis, who fought with distinction in WWII before becoming a star of the Russian stage and screen (read more about Leskin's journey). 

After the screening, please join us for a discussion comparing the film with the novel, and how each medium conveys the story. For those who were not able to join us for the book discussion, reading the book is not necessary but will make for a more enjoyable and lively discussion!
