Keynote Speaker: The Reverend Melissa Hinnen of the Asbury United Methodist Church of Croton. Local clergy and congregations of all faiths will participate. Featuring “ Hallel B'Shir” The Temple Israel Adult Choir joined by interfaith singers from our area faith communities. All are welcome! Ample parking is available. Pot Luck Dinner & Fellowship following the service. Vegetarian & Dairy dishes only. Please feel free to bring a favorite or traditional family recipe. Israeli Music in Times of Conflict

In this class, we will focus on different aspects of Israeli culture (Music, Art, Literature, Dance and more). In continuing with last year’s format, each session will focus on a different cultural art form. This year, we will do a deep dive into one cultural piece ( a song, a story, a dance) each session. We will explore the time period and context in which it was created, how this creation affected the cultural moment, and how it reflects Israeli society and culture. Through these cultural pieces, we will deepen our exploration of the complexities of the 21st century state of Israel.

Brotherhood Lecture - How Do We Make Music After Oct. 7th?

As Jews, we know how to hold both poles of the emotional spectrum, delight and despair, often at the same time. Join Cantor Dan Sklar as he wrestles with repertoire that fits the moment we are living in. Featuring music from Israeli composers and popular American music, we will find a way to celebrate life's joyous moments, even as we hold the hostages in our hearts. Join us for a joyful and peaceful Shabbat morning yoga and contemplative practice. Please join us to help address homelessness in Westchester by volunteering for a build event. This is a great opportunity for our teens to participate in some very important community service and earn community service credits. Please note that teens should be accompanied by an adult.
