United Against Racism - Pursuing Justice as a Multiracial Jewish Community

Tuesday, January 12, 2021 28 Tevet 5781

8:00 PM - 9:30 PMzoom

Join with local faith communities for a frank conversation with Amy Feinman, representing the Northeast area Civil Rights Council of the ADL, regarding how we can continue to actively participate in campaigns for racial justice that have been led by communities of color, including Jews of Color, for decades. How can we support the Black Lives Matter movement as a multiracial Jewish community, and how do we resist those who seek to use anti-Semitism as a tool to distract and divide us in this moment?

In this moment of racial reckoning, as our nation grapples with the insidious ways in which the legacy of slavery and systemic racism continues to infect our institutions and our policies, our faith must compel us into action.

From Pirkei Avot (Sayings of the Fathers): “You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to desist from it."
