Hanukkah-thon 2020
Hanukkah 2020 Message from Steve Samuels, TINW President
Shalom Friends,
This year has been difficult on everyone. Much has changed in our daily lives, much has been lost.
Still there is hope.
We hope for a brighter future. We hope for more balance in our lives and for coming together in ways that may have seemed impossible a year ago. Now, as we look forward we must reassess what is most important to us and support those causes and institutions which most amplify our values.
In the past year TINW has worked on so many important efforts:
- Family volunteer programs to end hunger
- Opportunities to clothe, house and feed the homeless
- Committees that ensure that our neighbors and congregants are safe and fed
- Concerts to raise spirits through music and connection
- Study sessions to reflect and fend off loneliness
- Services to console and inspire
We hope that this short list reminds you that TINW is not just a place of worship but also a place of community that shares your values. Please give generously to our 2020 Hanukkah-thon fundraiser. Your gift will help ensure that Temple Israel remains a place of strength and solace for the Jews of Northern Westchester and one that betters our community.
Every single gift of any size is received with gratitude and will help us to provide more to strengthen our sacred community. Contributions to 2020 Hanukkah-thon can be made on TINW.org, mailed to our accounting address, or mailed directly to Temple Israel.
Thank you in advance for giving generously to Temple Israel and helping us do more to improve our community and beyond. Here's to a brighter 2021!
