Who We Are
who we are
The Sisterhood of Temple Israel is a community within a community.
We are single, married and partnered.
We are with and without children.
We are born Jewish, Jews by choice and non-Jews married to Jews.
We are new and long-time members.
We are mothers, daughters and sisters.
We come together to learn and celebrate as we support each other and Temple Israel.
We would love to include you in our community! Please join us!
Our Mission:
To provide an environment of friendship, respect, intellectual and spiritual growth for our members, to enrich our Temple Israel community through social and educational programs and financial support, and to engage women in the pursuit of Gemilut Hasadim (acts of kindness), Tikkun Olam (healing the world) and Tzedakah (righteousness).
Read Who We Support to see how we change our community. Read about Women of Reform Judaism to see how we change the world.
We make a difference. The Sisterhood of Temple Israel looks forward to welcoming you.

See what we're up to!
We have many events throughout the year and are open to new ideas! Here's what's coming up in the near future.
Our meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month at Temple Israel at 7:30 pm. There is often a hybrid option to join online. If you need a ride or a zoom link to the meeting, contact sisterhood@tinw.org and we will get one for you!
See you soon!
