Bar / Bat Mitzvah Committee
Bar / Bat Mitzvah Committee
As we all know, preparing for your child’s Bar or Bat Mitzvah is an exciting time, but it can be stressful. The Bar / Bat Mitzvah Committee helps all families navigate this process in as painless a manner as possible! If you are a caring, organized and resourceful person, this is the committee for you- whether or not you have a child soon to become B'nai Mitzvah.
The time commitment is minimal. We meet two times between November and December to plan, and to organize a meeting for prospective parents. We get together in December with all the families, and in February we schedule the B'nai Mitzvah dates going forward. Throughout the year, we field questions from parents who need support. It is a wonderful way to give to our Temple community.
If you have questions and/or are interested in joining our committee, please email Jenifer McLaughlin or call her at 914-772-4401.
