Reach For Our Tomorrow Legacy Fund
Reach For Our Tomorrow today!
Make more possible!
"Someone before me made sure that Temple Israel would be here, and I want to be sure it stays here.”
~ Sue Feir, Member since 1997
The greatest compliment you can give Temple Israel is to support what it stands for and what it does now and beyond your lifetime.
Do you ever wish there was funding to make visionary ideas and special opportunities real? For example, a series of renowned speakers or creating a new program based on popular demand or making an annual adult education trip possible. Funding for something that enhances Temple Israel’s aims, but is out of reach because of budget constraints.
The Reach For Our Tomorrow Legacy Fund is designed exactly for that purpose.
Your gift creates your legacy to ensure that this community you love continues to thrive. You safeguard the traditions you know and the traditions to come, building a secure and strong future.
Contribute today through a gift of cash, stocks or securities. Gifts to the Legacy Fund may have significant tax benefits.
The Reach For Our Tomorrow Legacy Fund is focused on doing more of what makes Temple Israel so special. It’s what you can do today to preserve and enhance Temple Israel into the future.

The Reach For Our Tomorrow Legacy Fund supports many kinds of programs that align with Temple Israel’s Mission and Values, helping to create a legacy for the future.
One program that is close to my heart is the Social Justice work that has been a part of Temple Israel since its founding in 1948. Our community has embraced the sacred responsibility reflected in the Torah’s words: to bring our broken world closer to wholeness. Each year, for example, our teen Confirmation students journey to Capitol Hill as Social Justice advocates. They meet with their Congressional leaders to present an issue they have chosen and to argue in favor of their position, learning first-hand how to impact the future.
I want the important work that’s part of our sacred community and spiritual life to continue for many years. That is why I support the Reach For Our Tomorrow Legacy Fund. I hope you will consider making a legacy gift, large or small, to enhance our programs and activities.
May we always strive to meet our sacred responsibility. May we honor our past by working for a future of justice and peace.

Sisterhood/Brotherhood Movie Night
Motzei Shabbat, Nov 15th 7:00pm to 9:30pm
"A Face in the Crowd" starring Andy Griffith and Patricial Neal, Directed by Elia Kazan. From 1957, a powerful drama that showcases the talents of a remarkable cast, led by Andy Griffith in his screen debut, as you’ve never seen him before, and the great Patricia Neal. The story centers on Larry "Lonesome" Rhodes, a drifter who is discovered by the producer of a small-market radio program in rural northeast Arkansas, and who rises to great fame and influence on national television. In vividly illustrating the impact that TV can have on politics, the film is truly visionary in predicting the expanding nature of that power, and warning the viewer to be on guard for the future. Among the wonderful supporting players are Walter Matthau, Anthony Franciosa, and Lee Remick. The screenplay is by Budd Schulberg, based on his own short story, and is directed by Elia Kazan - known so well for “A Streetcar Named Desire” and “On the Waterfront” - at the height of his enormous directing skill. Len Simon will provide some background on the film before the screening and moderate a discussion after. -
