Dear parents of the Path to Confirmation class:
At CJL we all discussed our “Love Your Neighbor” projects. Some of them will be ready soon; others may need more time due to absences. So, we will most likely be presenting them on November 14. Rabbi Jaech came to visit our class in order to answer questions that the students had for her about existing LYN projects going on at the temple. As a result of her conversation with the Rabbi about recycling, Lucy Notrica ended up writing a letter to Mayor Pugh of Croton (using my account), asking about local recycling practices. I’ve already heard back from the Mayor and I forwarded his response to Lucy.
During the last class slot, Ariela and I taught the Path to Conf and Confirmation classes the Hebrew words for hand, foot, left, right, blue, green, yellow, and red. After that, we played Twister in Hebrew and did the Hebrew Hokey Pokey, using the vocabulary we had just reviewed. Please ask your teen if he/she remembers the vocabulary!
Next week we do NOT have CJL due to Halloween. Have a safe and fun holiday. See you all back on November 7!
