Brotherhood Breakfast with Westchester County Executive George Latimer
Sunday, February 11, 2024 • 2 Adar I 5784
10:00 AM - 11:30 AMThe Temple Israel Brotherhood is very pleased to welcome Westchester County Executive George Latimer, who has led our county for six years and recently returned from Israel, to our next Brotherhood Breakfast. A third generation Westchester native who grew up in Mount Vernon, County Executive Latimer was a marketing executive for more than 20 years, gaining first-hand business and economic experience which has helped bring about great success in our county. Prior to being elected County Executive in 2017 he served on the Rye City Council, the Westchester County Board of Legislators, and the New York State Assembly and State Senate.
Regarded as bipartisan, transparent and accessible, George Latimer led Westchester through the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic as the County continues to rebound, rebuild and recover. During his tenure as County Executive, Latimer has upheld an impressive record of achievements including three consecutive County property tax cuts.
He recently returned from a three-day trip to Israel with several other Westchester elected officials to view the aftermath of the October 7 attacks by Hamas. The trip was sponsored by the Westchester Jewish Council and UJA. During the trip, the County Executive met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Israeli families of hostages as well as visiting a hospital and a kibbutz.
County Executive George Latimer looks forward to reporting to you on his recent trip to Israel and talking with you about your thoughts and ideas on the future of Westchester County.
The Temple Israel Brotherhood invites you to register below and come ready with your questions for our County Executive.
