Brotherhood Superbowl Party

5:30 PM - 10:00 PMRoth Family Community Room

Brotherhood, in the Roth Family Community Room, will host a Superbowl Party complete with appropriate football culinary treats (i.e. wings, deli, dips, etc). Adult beverages will be available as well as non-alcoholic drinks. Party will begin at 5:30pm, gametime is 6:30pm. We will watch the game, the funny commercials and the halftime show on our large drop-down screen. We request people to register in advance. Cost will be $20 per person with all food and drink included. Children are welcome; kids under 18 are FREE. Walk-ins are welcome but pre-registration is highly encouraged.

Israeli Music in Times of Conflict

In this class, we will focus on different aspects of Israeli culture (Music, Art, Literature, Dance and more). In continuing with last year’s format, each session will focus on a different cultural art form. This year, we will do a deep dive into one cultural piece ( a song, a story, a dance) each session. We will explore the time period and context in which it was created, how this creation affected the cultural moment, and how it reflects Israeli society and culture. Through these cultural pieces, we will deepen our exploration of the complexities of the 21st century state of Israel.

Brotherhood Lecture - How Do We Make Music After Oct. 7th?

As Jews, we know how to hold both poles of the emotional spectrum, delight and despair, often at the same time. Join Cantor Dan Sklar as he wrestles with repertoire that fits the moment we are living in. Featuring music from Israeli composers and popular American music, we will find a way to celebrate life's joyous moments, even as we hold the hostages in our hearts. We will find perseverance and hope in an eclectic program of music and reflection.

Please join us to help address homelessness in Westchester by volunteering for a build event. This is a great opportunity for our teens to participate in some very important community service and earn community service credits. Please note that teens should be accompanied by an adult.
