Congregant Laura Copel invites our Temple Community to partake in the ritual of Tashlich at Senasqua Park. We will symbolically cast our (environmentally-friendly) sins into the beautiful Hudson River as we sing joyful songs and celebrate together. Bring a chair and/or a blanket.

Temple Israel's celebration of the festival of Shavuot begins with a dairy congregational supper followed by our Tikkun Leyl Shavuot, a special Torah study session led by our Scholar-in-Residence, Professor David Sperling. The topic of the session will be: The Transforming Torah, With Bonus Tips for a Good Life.

Community Service Through Flowers

The program promotes a sense of peace and unity within our community and beyond through acts of loving kindness and social justice. Our goal is to bring joy into the lives of the elderly by creating floral arrangements which are distributed to local nursing homes and to build community among volunteers through this process.

Sisterhood Book Club

We will be discussing the book called The Lion Women of Tehran by Marjan Kamali. It is a novel about the deep and complicated friendship of two Iranian women during pre- and post-revolution Iran. We will be meeting at a congregant's home and share a Pot Luck dinner.
