Shalom kitta Bet Mishpahot:
This Yom Rishone in Temple Israel :
We prayed together in the sanctuary
We worked on our decorations for the school wide bulletin board where soon you and your children can find out more about your classmates and school matters.
We helped build the succah and made decorations.
We learned the words: Succah
Schoch,(what goes on top of the succah),
Lulav, etrog and pitom.
We learned our first Hebrew letter, Tav. Ask your child to write it for you. Tav has a big toe that stretches to the left.
We went to Hebrew through movement and practiced among others the verbs, Lakach:take and latet : give.
Succot is a special holiday where we try to take our meals outside in the succah. That was why we had our lovely barbeque at the end of class this week. Another special holiday moment will come next Sunday when we celebrates Simchat Torah together.
Look forward to seeing everyone at 5:00 o'clock.

MayMay 11 , 2024Brotherhood-Sisterhood Movie Night: The Apartment
Shabbat, May 11th 7:00pm to 9:30pm
"The Apartment". From 1960, the story of a young New York insurance company employee, trying to get ahead by “loaning” his apartment to other executives. His life becomes complicated with unintended consequences when he falls in love with the office-building elevator operator. Directed by the legendary Billy Wilder it stars Jack Lemmon & Shirley McClaine in one of their best roles. The movie is a beautiful and funny love story but also a pointed commentary on office politics, morality and how certain men treat women, circa 1960. The Broadway play “Promises, Promises” is the musical version of this wonderful film. -
