Summary |
I mentioned that we will be going on a Class trip to the Food Pantry to be announced. It will be on a Sunday in December. I will keep you updated. Would anyone like to volunteer to be class parent? We could use at least two because our class is on the large side. Todah Rabbah!
This week at CJL we started in the sanctuary. We use a projector to follow along as we sing the morning prayers.
Rabbi Pein told us a story about how when you throw even one starfish back in the water, you are doing something that matters!
We read The Secret Shofar, and we had a good discussion about what our Judaism means to us. Ask your children about it! They are brave and deep!!
We created art projects based on the Jewish star and our six known Hebrew letters:
Shin, Dalet,Tav, Resh,Lamed , and Bet
Ask your child to write these and tell you the sounds they make.
We met with the Cantor and described all the Jewish holidays on one foot.
Challenge: What are three words that describe Israel's Independence Day? That was the holiday that wasn't represented in the song.
We attended Hebrew Through Movement.
Our new words are:
Eparone- pencil
Gir-chalk
Toosh- marker
Keepah- yamulka
Sefer- book.
Ariela charged us with not speaking any English during this time!
