Dear Kitah dalet families,
This week was all about Hanukkah!
*We reviewed the history of Hanukkah going way back to the reign of Alexander the Great!
*Each student designed a beautiful Hanukkiah ! They are functional but lit candles should always be in an attended room for safety.
*We talked about Hanukkah’s theme of spreading light. Check out our “Kitah Dalet brings light to the world” bulletin board!
* We had a quick refresher of the dreidel game with lots of joyous spinning. All students came home with a Dalet Hanukkah treat bag with candles, gelt, toys, games, candle lighting prayers and dreidel directions.
*We ended the morning as a K-5 community with Rabbi Jaech and Rabbi Pein preparing us for a joyous holiday!
