Dear Kitah Dalet families,
*I wanted to say kol hakavod to kitah dalet! They did a beautiful job helping Cantor to lead the community in prayer at their Friday night service! Their beautiful smiles and voices on the bima made it a special night for all!
*We had a special treat in class today. The madrich/ aide led a fun lesson on the 4 names of Pesakh. We smelled fresh herbs, heard lively music, and tasted different foods to help explain the different names. Everyone enjoyed the Fountainheads music video that he shared! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIyKw_GiAA8 Todah Rabah Derek!
*Our class song is Roll into Dark by Noam Katz and the students shared it on the bima Friday night. In class, we talked about the evening prayer, as day turns to night. Our artists then illustrated what it looks like to them when the sun sets.
*We ended the morning with 2 Passover rotations. The 2 dalet classes were mixed up so everyone had a chance to meet the students in the other section. One section covered the 4 questions in Hebrew and the other pondered 'The 5th Question!" We ended with a taste of parsley, salt water, matzah, macaroons and charoset.
*I'd like to share some fun Passover videos I share with family and friends as Passover approaches:
