Mrs. Kisling

:Dear Parents

In Torah stories we talked about Cain and Abel. Sent out into the world, Adam and Eve give birth to two sons, Cain and Abel. Cain, a farmer, offers God a portion of his crops one day as a sacrifice, only to learn that God is more pleased when Abel, a herdsman, presents God with the fattest portion of his flocks. Enraged, Cain kills his brother.

Here are some of the questions we discussed after reading the story:

How do we dell with our siblings?

What do we do when we are jeluse of our siblings?

How to we react when we are angry?

In Hebrew we reviewed all the vowels that makes the “Ah” sounds. The students learned that the Hebrew vowels are like music nots. The students practiced reading the vowels in pairs. We continued our Hebrew reading practice in our Hebrew books, where each students progress in her or his speed. Our new letters are Lamed and Mem.
