Summary |
Tonight’s time at CJL was about gratitude. The Kitah Zayin students learned about the connection Judaism has to gratitude, some of the things Judaism says about gratitude, the positive impact gratitude has in our lives and on others, and the meaning in expressing gratitude around their Bar and Bat Mitzvah.
They did this by discussing Jewish texts and wisdom, doing class activities and writing thank you notes to parents.
The students took the thank you notes home and were instructed to give them to their parents. If they forgot, please ask your child for them.
They also were expressing gratitude for what they have, material and spiritual, as Rabbi Pein introduced the organizations that the classes will be supporting during the tzedakah fair. For example, organizations that need to raise money to feed people that don’t have enough to eat while one is eating pizza certainly makes one stop to count their blessings.
We ended the evening with tefila with Cantor Fogelman. The students all participated in leading one of the prayers and we ended with an energetic oseh shalom.
We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
