Please join us for a conversation with Ido Yaaran, a young adult Israel emissary and IDF soldier. Ido was raised in Herzliya, Israel and came to the United States for a year of service to the Jewish community in 2019-2020 through the young emissary program of the Jewish Agency of Israel and the Jewish Federation of Fairfield County, Ct. Ido’s service year was cut short due to COVID, and in August 2020, he enlisted for his service with the IDF as a combat soldier with the Nachal brigade. Just six months after completing his three years in the IDF, the war that began on October 7th demanded his return to active combat as a reservist. Over the last six months, Ido has served in Israel’s defense in the embattled Gaza envelope, in Gaza and on Israel’s Northern border. He is very happy to be share his experiences and reconnect once again with the greater American Jewish family.
