HUC-JIR Soup Kitchen Volunteer Day

2:30 PM - 8:00 PMTINWCJL TINW Teens will be volunteering to serve meals at the HUC-JIR, NYC Soup Kitchen. Every Monday, this Soup Kitchen serves over 100 meals to the hungry in NYC. They provide guests with a warm sit down meal, table service, music and at times toiletries. Bus transportation from TINW will be provided. We will meet by 2:30 PM. The evening will include a pizza dinner and a reflective study with HUC-JIR graduate students. The return back to TINW should be at approximately 8:15 PM.

People of all ages welcome at Senasqua Park - 2 Elliott Way, Croton-on-Hudson NY 10520 Come at 12:00 with your own picnic lunch.- Clean up starts at 12:30 During Tashlich on Rosh HaShanah, we symbolically cast our "sins" into water. In Reverse Tashlich, we will remove human "sin" from the water by cleaning up the Hudson River and beginning the Jewish new year with purpose and care. -
