Brotherhood Lecture: Song Exploder-The Story of TWO Israeli Songs

7:30 PM - 9:00 PMThe stories behind "Ein Li Eretz Acheret" and "Bashana Haba'a" two iconic Israeli songs written by Lyricist Ehud Manor.
In this lecture we will explore the stories behind two iconic Israeli songs written by the same lyricist - Ehud Manor. The songs are both a personal statement, and also a comment on his feelings and relationship with Israel as a country and his homeland. We will learn about the historical moments and context in which both songs were written, the performers and performances that gave both songs several moments of cultural importance, and enjoy a live performance of both songs featuring Cantor Hayley Kobilinsky accompanied by Oren Neiman, CJL teacher and professional musician, on guitar.
Light refreshments will be served.
